Haven't Post anything for a while... Here are some things that I was working on recently. Poi.
Got all the concept for my hand, room and objects drawings down. Getting ready for the portfolio review day at 14 this month.  Busy as always.

Manga Studio 5 is Really Powerful! 

I was working on a room concept which may or may not become the foundation of my actually Portfolio peace.  Also sorry for the late update! The Math Class is kinda painful for me. draws it digitally is much faster. I always wanna to draw female cartoon characters, but they always ends up as MOE anime girls so I kinda give up on it. I am also planning to have at least one of my personal peace to be a digital painting done in PS, Sai or Manga Studio 5. 

Here is o my second attempt to create characters.  And here is a rough sketch.
I knew there is still some mistakes but it is still an idea. I will work on it in the future.

 Sorry for the late update! I was pretty busy in the past couple weeks. School is about to start! Which is not good! Now I have to split my time between school work and my portfolio/ practice. Not sure have I mentioned before in the earlier posts that I have only started to take animation seriously recently. Below is a pic about how much blue Prismacolor I have used until now.















I am currently working my Room drawing and one of my personal piece which I have mentioned in my last post.

Finally I got it done (Just the line work) !

A considerable amount of determination is required to get the perspective right on a  layout.  It still have some problem which I will  work on it tomorrow. Poi! Light Table is very useful!! But Wacom is even better (not the bamboo pad, it is sh#t!).

I am working on my personal pieces recently. Below is my first try with Copic markers coloring. Copic markers really worth the expensive price.

This took me 8h from sketch to finish. Hope U like it. Feel free to leave a comment!  I d like to know ur thoughts!

   My name is David Wu. I am a highschooler live in Canada, Ontario.  As an otaku from head to toe, I have a passion in anime and wish to take a part in the anime production.   When I am in the second semester of grade 11, I decide I wanted to study in Sheridan college's animation program (Bachler of Animation).  So I decide to make a blog that record my journey to became an animator. 
   Tell you a little more about my current plan.  First, it is obviously to get accepted into the animation program in Sheridan. A bachelor degree in animation will definitely help me to get in the anime industry since the animation program at Sheridan college world-renowned.  But it is also tough to get into the program since the requirement is pretty high. Usually about 2000 applied and 1500 submit their portfolios, and only 100 get in.  So I have spent most of my free time practice drawing and work on my portfolio, taking life drawing classes and so on.  In the following posts I will include some of my recent work, most in the form of journals. Feel free to follow me on DeviantArt and Pinterest. There is not much on my DeviantArt page right now, But I will add more of my work there later.  I have been collecting images such as references and tutorials related to animation.  I am thinking to open a youtube channel but I may not have time for it, so I am saving it for later.

Talking about storyboarding, I used last year's character for the sketch.  I just finished Madoka Magic anime when I did them, so there are always Kyubey involved .   

  

Also my first attempt to do my room drawing (Layout). 2 lazy to scan, so I just took a picture of it.  This still far from finish. 

The book I am currently reading is Cartoon Animation by Preston Blair. Very nice book. I love it even I don't like the art style. Strongly recommend.
